Awesome Wrap Waves!! Double Barrel Wave Wand!!

I found this wand at Wal-Mart and I had to have it! I got it for about $25.00 and, made by Remington,  it is worth every penny! I am always crunching, crimping, and trying to coax some wave into my straight hair with no luck. I figured I would give this a try since I am always looking for something new and like always my guinea pig and best friend, sydney, jumped in to test it! Not only does this put loose waves into your hair but if you want tight curls you can just wrap your hair around one barrel like a curling wand. This was my first time working with this wand and trying to perfect the technique so I will post more pictures my next go around.

Here's how to do it:

See, it's that simple!! The next try is going to be tight curls! Hopefully it turns out perfectly!!!

Purple People Eater... Rawr...

This is a very simple but stunning look to recreate. Purple hues are great for people with Hazel eye color, they make the eye color bright and dramatic!

 Small Makeup Brush
Eye Primer

Eyeliner Brush

This is how you get the look:

  1. First you cover the eyelid with #1 from the lash line to just under the brow line.
  2. Then, using a small makeup brush, take #2 and apply it from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner staying in the crease.
  3. Next, take a medium size makeup brush and apply #2 to the outer corner of the eyelid and carefully blend the outer crease corner with the outer corner.
  4. Now take #3 and apply it over the #2 that you just blended on the outer corner of the eye, this will give you the smokey eye look.
  5. Take a silver eyeliner pencil and dot the inner corner of the eyelid to brighten the whites of your eyes.
  6. After you are finished with the silver eyeliner, take #3, using an eyeliner brush, apply it to the lower lash line from the outer corner to the middle of the lower lash line.
  7. Then take #2 and starting from the middle of the lower lash line apply until you reach the inner corner of the eye.
And that is it! It is so simple! If there are any concerns or questions about the directions feel free to email me or comment and I will help any way I can. Thanks!

No Heat Curls!!!

My Gorgeous Mother :D
No heat curls! There is such a thing! And the technique is so simple and effective that after you try this you will say Bye-bye to your curling iron! Here are the supplies you will need:
  • A Tube Sock
  • Water
  • Mousse of your choice ( Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Mousse works really well because you get the hold you want and still have touchable, flexible curls)
Yeah... that is all that you need to have awesome curls! Another thing I love about this technique is that there is no damage to your hair because there is no heat involved! I had to try this technique out on my mother's hair because mine is too short and she has long, gorgeous locks :D Here's how to get the look:

    • First you take a long sock/ tube sock and cut the end where the toes would go off so that you can put your arm all the way through.
    • Then you roll it into a "doughnut"
This is what it should look like :P

    • After you have rolled the sock into a "doughnut" you are going to set it aside and put your hair into a HIGH pony tail. Try to make it as high and you can on your head and then secure it with a rubber hair band ( you want it loose but not loose enough that it falls off your head or falls out of the ponytail and so you won't get that ugly rubber band crease in your hair)
    • Then apply water to the tail of your pony tail, you want it to be just a little wet because if it is too wet then the hair will not dry when it is in the sock and therefore the curls will not stick. You may have to try it a few times to see what amount works for you.
    • After you have applied the water, take a handful of mousse and make sure to get all of the pony tail. Some people will say to only use water but water and mousse is how I achieved the best curls for my mothers hair, but everyone is different! Again be careful to not apply too much.
    • Next you take the tail of your pony tail and pull it through the hole of the sock doughnut.
    • Pull the sock doughnut to the end of your pony tail but do not let the hair fall out of it.
    • Take your ends and tuck them around the sock and continue to roll your hair around the sock
    • If you are doing it right you will get closer to the top of your head and it will start to look like a Bun.
    • It may take a few times of trying to roll the hair around the sock doughnut but once you get it you're good to go! It's like riding a bike :P
    • Let the bun rest on your head while you are sleeping so you can have curls during the day or you can wear it during the day if you want your curls at night :D But let this sit for at least 4-6 hours for good measure.
    • Whatever time you decide to do this technique whenever you are ready to see your beautiful curls all you do is unroll the bun and take out the rubber hair band and voila! Beautiful, touchable, no-heat curls!

    Perfect :D

This video will show you how to do the no-heat curls technique!

    Online Shopping... Yes Please!

These are some of my favorite websites to buy make-up because they run sales and specials all the time! You can find amazing deals and get tons of products, and some samples thrown in for free, for less than 20$!

Urban Decay is a great website to check out because their products are amazing, some of the best make-up I have ever used! Their eyeliner pencils are like silk and do not smudge or fade and their eye shadows are so bright and are easy to apply. There are so many amazing products to choose from, they can be pricey but well worth the money! Urban Decays website runs sales pretty often and always has products of some sort under their sale tab. A great website with great products!

My next favorite place to shop online is Ulta! They probably sell every brand of make-up and hair products you could think of and they always run sales online as well. They have online coupons that you can add to your checkout and sales like BOGO at the same time.

Another favorite is AMAZON! Yes, Amazon.com is an amazing place to buy make-up and accessories of any kind! When it comes to the brand name make-up the prices are, 98% of the time, the same price as the brand names official website. But I have found brand and off brand eye shadow palettes or single containers for less than 1$ on Amazon. I got a set of professional grade make-up brushes for 6$ with the original price being 28$. So yeah, a good website to check out!

♥ Just wanted to say that these websites are not mine, I am not affiliated with Urban Decay, Ulta, or Amazon.com. Just spreading the love :D

Two Things I CAN NOT Live Without!!!!!

Organic Expeller Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil... is amazing! I found out about this wonderful product a couple months ago from my Mother In-Law ( Thanks!!! ;)  ) and have been using it everyday since! It is such a versatile product! I use it: 1. As a leave in deep conditioner for my color treated hair 2. A daily face and body moisturizer 3. Shaving Cream for my legs 4. An overnight under eye oil. This is a website that is all about the benefits of Coconut Oil > Coconut Oil Information  < You can get Organic Expeller Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil from most Health Food stores like Whole Foods or Earth Fare.

Vaseline... Yep, That's right... Vaseline! It is a wonder product, something every women should have in their home!! I use it for: 1. Make-up Remover 2. Around hair line when Dying hair 3. Moisturize cuticles 4. Rub on hands and feet to keep them soft and smooth 5. Keeps my Nail Polish easily accessible by keeping the lid free of dried nail polish. It's amazing and so much cheaper than make-up remover! I have a small size for make-up removal and a big tub for moisturizing! Love, Love, love it! Here's a couple websites all about the uses for Vaseline!

    ~Au Naturel ~

I figured I would do a natural look this time since it is easy, gorgeous, and EASY! lol A natural make-up look is something that I think all women should be able to do not only because it accentuates your natural beauty, but it makes you feel good walking around looking gorgeous with barely anything on your face! At least, that's how I feel when I go Au Naturel    :P Here's how to get the look:

Too Faced Naked Eye eyeshadow collection

    • Start with a clean, fresh face! I used my Hard Candy ♥ Sheer Envy Primer on my eyelids.
    • I did not use any foundation because the brand I bought makes me break out :/ So if you would like to use foundation then go for it :D It will even out your complexion and hide any blemishes!...And cover up/lighten freckles in my case :P
    • First apply "In The Buff" to the eyelid staying under the crease.
    • Then apply "Birthday Suit" along the crease and to the outer corner of the eyelid. You are mimicking the Smokey Eye technique for this. You want to keep "Birthday Suit" only IN the crease and along the outside corner of the eyelid!!!
    • Take "Satin Sheets" and brush it against the Brow Line for brow definition if you want!
    • I added a TINY, super small amount of a generic Green eyeliner pencil on the inside of the lower lash line. That is completely optional! :D
    • Add some Mascara
And Voila! Finished! You get your natural beauty enhanced in just seconds with very little product! Enjoy :D

I added Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Miracle Mauve on my lips
I'm not sure why it looks like there is purple on the lower lash line... but it should be green... ;P

You can see the hint of Green on the lower lash line
